Omegaman

Keeping it funky Down Under for years, Omegaman has the distinction of being the first artist to release on Fort Knox Recordings outside of Washington DC .  The renegade funk’n’soul label from the US Capital is the perfect home for Omegaman as he explores the boundaries of funky breakbeats, latin and reggae vibes.  2013 saw the first Omegaman single release on Fort Knox Recordings – ‘El O’man Boogoaloo’. In 2014 Omegaman released the “Hot Sauce EP” on Fort Knox Recordings, the EP will be followed up with a release of all star remixes.

Hailing from Sydney Australia, Marc Scully aka Omegaman began honing his skills as a bassist with bands MX Warheads, Love Rodeo, Deadly Hume, Nick Barker & The Reptiles & RATCAT.  After many years of touring, Marc moved into the realm of DJing & music production soon to release a growing number of original compositions & remixes under the Omegaman moniker. Omegaman draws on his influences & brings the funk with a side order of reggae, latin, lounge, soul & beats.

The debut Omegaman album ‘Pheromone’ was released on independent Australian label Catalyst Recordings (Inertia) in 2007. This release caught the attention of label managers worldwide and a selection of tracks have been licensed to CD compilations, film, and television. Soon after Omegaman chalked up two well received vinyl releases on the All Good Funk Alliance imprint label ‘Super Hi-Fi Recordings’. Omegaman has picked up ground swell in the past couple of years remixing for a number of Fort Knox Recording artists such as Empresarios, See-I, Nappy Riddem and All Good Funk Alliance.

Omegaman has remixed a wide range of artists including Ursula 1000, BadBoe, Brand New Heavies, Skeewiff, Fretless, Basement Freaks, Quasamodo, Los Chicos Altos, The King Rocker feat. Aloe Blacc, Maya Jupiter & Carlos Mora, Rephrase, Quincy Jointz, Jayl Funk, Fuzzbox Inc, Lakeshore Drive, Resin Dogs, Second Sky, Thomas Blondet, Tal M Klein, Dogo Argentino, and Liquidis Ambiento. Omegaman has been producing music, DJ’ing and performing live in bands for many years, and that deep musical experiences shines through on his productions and remixes.
