This Fall marks the official 20th Anniversary of Fort Knox Five and to celebrate this milestone, the group has gotten some top tier producers to remix some FK5 classics. Following the first three monster remixes in this series from heavy hitters The Allergies, Krafty Kuts and The Sponges is no easy task but Pineo & Loeb have stepped up to the plate and hit a blazing home run with their scorching funky house remix of “Keep it Poppin’”

Halifax production duo Pineo & Loeb have been rocketing to the top of festival lineups with their fun and infectious remixes of pop culture songs, turning them into hands-in-the-air dance floor bangers. The duo have done the same on their flip of “Keep it Poppin’”, distilling all the essence of the original’s disco funky breaks, and hyping it up with some big builds and hard drops. This is a true vocal heavy house gem, using Mustafa Akbar’s funk laden vocals and weaving in classic house piano stabs, funky guitars, wobbly bass and some seriously stomping drums.

Pineo & Loeb have made a name for themselves by taking familiar tracks and flipping them into some bangin’ remixes and they have done it again on their revamp of this FK5 classic. The single includes the original radio friendly remix, as well as an extended vocal remix and extended instrumental remix that will cement its place in every funky DJ’s crate.
